SHIPPING RISK FORUM at Lloyd's of London: On September 15th, the GEOMAR team actively participated in the 3rd edition of the SHIPPING RISK FORUM, a key event organized by Maritime London in partnership with major market entities like the International Group of P&I Clubs (IGP&I) and the Lloyd's Market Association (LMA). Held at The Old Library at Lloyd's, the forum featured leading practitioners and commentators discussing the geo-political outlook and its effects on marine insurance. This direct engagement with the London marine insurance markets provided GEOMAR with crucial intelligence on the evolving risk landscape.
LISW25 Headline Conference at the IMO: On September 17th, the team attended the high-profile LISW25 Headline Conference at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Headquarters. The event featured high-level government and industry speakers providing deep insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the maritime industry related to the core theme of "The Management of Paradox in Global Shipping."
West of England P&I Club Seminar on Seafarer Wellbeing: GEOMAR held crucial bilateral meetings and attended a key seminar hosted by the West of England P&I Club on September 17th. This specific session, titled "Seafarer Wellbeing: Integrating Trauma Awareness and Neurodiversity in Practice," focused on crew mental health as a critical component of loss prevention and claims management, reinforcing the human element's paramount role in maritime risk assessment.
