Geomar Co. Ltd. participated at International Maritime Forum which was held in Batumi on 11-14 September 2018. 

 
 

Secretary-General of International Maritime Organization Mr. Kitack LIM expressed his gratitude towards the government of Georgia for organizing the Georgia International Maritime Forum 2018 highlighting his expectations for future progress of Georgia. 

 
 
 
 

The official deposition of instruments of accession to the following conventions by Georgia being deposited by the Prime Minister of Georgia H.E Mr. Mamuka Bakhtadze to H.E Secretary General of IMO  Mr. Kitack Lim:

  • International Convention on Civil Liability for Bunker Oil Pollution Damage
  • The International Convention on the Control of Harmful Anti-fouling Systems in Ships

UN Georgia, WISTA Georgia and MTA Georgia signed a MOU pledging to promote the maritime industry amongst women in Georgia. 

 
 

A Memorandum of Understanding between the Shanghai Maritime University and the Batumi State Maritime Academy is being signed.

GEOMAR Co.Ltd. - 01.08.2018 successfully passed renewal audit for the approval of service supplier in accordance with requirements of American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). 

Our company approved as a service supplier for the Hatch Cover Water Tightness Inspection by Ultrasonic Equipment.

Today we are proud to announce that our company successfully passed re-certification process to new management standard as per requirements of ISO 9001:2015.

Geomar Co. Ltd. Participated at Armenia-Georgia business forum.

Armenia-Georgia Business Forum was held in Yerevan on June 29, 2017. It was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia and the Republic of Armenia. About 40 businessmen from the Georgian side and representatives of more than 150 companies from the Republic of Armenia attended the event.

The Forum was launched by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia - Giorgi Gakharia, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia - Nino Chikovani, Minister of Economic Development and Investment of the Republic of Armenia - Suren Karyan and President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia and Martin Sargsyan.

The Memorandum on Cooperation was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia and the Republic of Armenia in the first part of the event. The presentations about the investment environment of the two countries were conducted at the second part of the Forum. After the presentation part of the event 160 bilateral meetings were held.

The forum was attended by business circles from several sectors. Including construction, real estate, tourism, transport and logistics, food industry and agriculture, paper production, pharmaceutical, laboratories, distribution, consulting. B2B meetings were planned according the business sectors represented at the forum.

The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia mentioned that special working group was created on the level of the ministries of two countries. The members are 24 hours in touch with each other in case of any problem to any Armenian company in Georgia, or Georgian companies in Armenia or at the border check points. According to Giorgi Gagaria, the sides started to work on a joint concrete action plan aimed at opening joint access to Georgian-Armenian companies and access to each other in partnership with third parties.
