Our company quality manager and auditor attended the special training which was well organized by STR-Consulting Georgia. Training was held on 19.03.2016 at maritime training center of Batumi State Maritime Academy.

The training topics covered new elements and changes implemented in new Quality Management Standard ISO 9001:2015. Training was conducted by Head of Auditing Practices Group ISO/TC 176 and IAF – Mr. Alex Ezrakhovich.

This was a really great experience to get knowledge, experience and answers from the first source of ISO member working group.

Company quality management has been re-certified successfully for 2016. 

The re-certification audit ensures that relevant processes within the company are running in accordance with the internationally recognized standard ISO 9001:2008 and are improved continuously. Thus, our customers also continuously benefit from our fast and efficient service.

Taking into attention issue of new ISO standard 9001:2015 version, our quality management team in process of development of improved and amended company quality procedures which will include all new requirements including risk thinking approach to some company processing elements. 

In inspection sphere of business, we everyday meet some risks related with health, safety and right decision making at place of survey. We believe that improvement of our system and minimization of risks in return will improve our client satisfaction.

It is our company quality management milestone to be certified next year in accordance with requirements of new ISO 9001:2015 quality management standard.

We are excited to inform that GEOMAR Co.ltd. has been recognized by the Kish P&I Club and nominated as a local P&I correspondents for the territory of Georgia.

Kish P&I Club has been formed by group of Iranian Owners at Southern Island of Kish which is situated in Persian Gulf. 

The Club directors who are from different fields of Marine industry have pooled their financial eligibility into a club which could indemnify their liabilities within international and different ports jurisdictions or territorial waters.

The Iranian shipping companies, which are participating in the formation of the Club, are among well known carriers of wet and dry cargoes.

The Club entry is available for ocean-going tankers and cargo ships of various sizes with acceptable loss records.

The Club is capable of covering the ship-owners liabilities up to USD 2,000,000 and has reinsured their excess liabilities up to USD 1,000,000,000 within Iranian Insurance Market which is headed by the Central Insurance of Iran.

GEOMAR Co.Ltd. - 01.08.2015 successfully passed renewal audit for the approval of service supplier in accordance with requirements of American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). 

Our company approved as a service supplier for the Hatch Cover Water Tightness Inspection by Ultrasonic Equipment. 

We are proud to announce that our company maintains effective quality management, survey and divers trainings at appropriate high level.  This is already a third approval for underwater survey in addition to previously obtained approval and recognition from Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) and from Maritime Lloyd (Georgia).
